My Story about My Allergies

My Allergies.
I have allergies and maybe you don’t know what allergies are but I can tell you what it is. Allergies are when you can’t eat something and if you eat something your not supposed to then you could be sent to hospital or if you have medicine that can make it stop. Then you don’t have to go to the hospital. Sometimes my throat gets dry and I can’t breathe as much. I am allergic to dairy nuts and eggs. Sometimes I love having my allergies because I can eat some
things that I love to eat and sometimes I do not because most people are not allergic to anything and I feel left out.

School Athletics Day

Hi bloggers,

On the 19th of November my school had Athletics Day.  It was a hot sunny day and it was a bit cloudy. We had to put on our hats and a lot of sunblock. First we had different age groups and our age group was written on our hand and we had to go to our age groups and there were clipboards that told us witch station we were going to next. My age group was the 9 year old girls.

The first thing my age group did was tennis and then it was this game where we had these colourful circles and then we got numbered to go into different groups. There were 4 groups and our group had to help each other get to the other side and back again to where we started. Then we did sprints the sprints were a bit hard but it was also fun and some of the girls in my age group got in places but I did not come any place but it was still fun. Then we were watching the 7 year old boys do the sprints. Then it was morning tea and I had to fill in my water bottle because it was almost finished.

It was a fun day and we did so much.

Corbans Estate Trip

Aloha

Yesterday our middle school syndicate went on a trip to the Corban Estate Art Centre. I was very excited when we got there. We got there by bus and some parents came with us on the trip.

There was an Art Centre at the Corbans Estate and there were Pacifica Mamas that taught us to do drumming and to make leis. When we finished making the leis we had to give it to someone special. At the end we learnt how to do a Hawaiian dance.

In the drumming there were different types of drums called log drums and skin drums. I played a log drum and learned how to play it. You use a stick to hit the drum near the mouth in the middle. It was a bit hard to remember the pattern.

The most interesting part was learning how to say hello and thank you in different languages. There were three Pacifica Mamas that taught us to do the drumming and making the leis.

My report about Fossils

Kia Ora bloggers,
In class I have been writing a report on something I like.
I decided to choose fossils because fossils have been around for a long time and there are a lot of facts about fossils.

First I planned my big idea, then I researched information I needed, then I wrote each new paragraph for each new idea, then I edited it.

Please open the link to my report  and could you please leave me a comment. Blog ya later!
